Semi Folding Easels

Semi folding easels are chosen because they fold reasonably compactly, are big, strong, robust, and have a large rear tilt range. Two models, FF400 makes a large field easel, doubling as a studio easel, FF500 a studio easel that folds for storage. These easels have full face support for boards or the board sits against the centre shaft offering maximum support.

SFH400, standing 1.8 metres tall oiled,it $190 the wood is oiled Victorian Ash. The cat is a blue point Ragdoll, but it does give an idea of scale. Easel holds boards approximately 1.0 metres deep. The frame of the easel is 65mmX19mm. the bottom mount is 400 mm wide. . Weight about 6 kilos. Also available in Forest Red timber, Jarrah, and Black Butt, Please add $55 for these woods.

SF500, standing 2.0 metres tall. See more photos at the bottom of the page. SFH500 $215 in oiled Victorian Mountain Ash. Easel holds boards 1.4 metres deep. The bottom mount 500mm wide. Only available in Victorian Mountain Ash. weight about 11 kilos.

My humblest apologies for taking so long to reply to your request for a photo of Victoria using your easel. We have had many people comment on it and when Victoria has taken it to life drawing classes she has had many oohs and aahs from fellow artists. Victoria uses it all the time as she finds it is easier to move around for one reason or another. Please find attached the photo that Victoria let me send!!!! I'll be ordering a book stand from you soon.

Tilt range, infinitely adjustable from Minus 3 degrees to minus 15 degrees, Also tilts sideways 15 degrees each way.

Trays can be fitted, if you order a standard tray you will not be adjusting the tilt of the easel, but a standard tray will fit. A tilt tray is $140 in Victorian Ash and $190 in Premium Red hardwoods.

You can see the amount of infinitely variable tilt available.You can also tilt the easels left and right to compensate for slopes. The legs spread so they do not get in the artists way.

For display you can specify a shaft length to suit specific boards, mirrors, paintings etc
