H frames provide a big, heavy duty canvas mount, with very few moving parts. They tilt forward 5 degrees and back 15 degrees. Fully adjustable canvas mounts, two locking knobs per mount. Mounts lower to the easel base frame. Solid construction that will not give trouble during a long, hard life. The fronts do not protrude so that you will not trip over them. Your feet fit under the bottom frame front cross bars if you can work that close. High sides provide full support where it counts. Deep trays available for all easels. All H frames come with lockable castors and fold flat for transport and storage.
A big strong and simple, you can also paint a post card on this easel.

HBH1800 $395 - made from oiled Victorian Ash. Note how low the bottom mount goes and how high the sides are. Student version $325 You can also order "Wedge Mounts" which wedge the canvas to the easel so it cannot be accidentally knocked off.

Optional Tray Mount, on a Recycled Oregon easel HBO1800 - This package is easel $650 plus optional tray at $150.

Student model, No sanding, no oiling, dressed (has been planed) wood but easel is unchanged in every other aspect. $325. - HBH1800S (easel should be sanded and oiled for longevity, instructions provided) When I make a student model I run a sander over all the edges to remove possible splinters and rough edges. Take another $20 off if you delete castors. The finish is actually good enough to oil. Tray, student $100, palette holders, student $40 each.

Also available in Oiled Spotted Gum, and Red Hardwood (Forest Reds/Karri/Red Iron Bark/Bluegum depending on availability) and recycled Oregon.$650
Trays for woods other than Victorian Mountain Ash trays are $150, palette holders $50 each.

Extended Centre shaft 2.1 metres long to hold a 1.9 metre deep canvas $15. Vic. Ash or $20 in other woods.

For Wedge Mounts, please add $25 for Victorian Mountain Ash and $35 for other woods.

You can delete castors and reduce price by $20

Separate bottom mount is supplied with all trays.

You can order a H frame to suit your specific requirements, they can be wider, made from thicker and wider sections of wood and taller. Please enquire.

HB2000 - Larger, Heavier Easel for 2mX2m Canvases

The HBH2000 is taller - 2.4 metres and wider - 800mm wide and will take 2.0 metre canvas in portrait. Ideal for the artist who wants to paint larger works. It will still hold a post card. The top of this easel is approximately 2.35 metres high!! Please note that for shipping the centre shaft will be in 2 sections.
