A near indestructible castor for heavy duty applications.

These castors have a ball bearing races for the rotation of the castor. This means that when you push your easel in a direction the castor rotates to allow you to push the easel in a straight line. The wheel has a removable bush for smooth rotation. This quality castor is all metal construction with a rubber tyre. It is designed for heavy duty use. If you plan to be moving your easel around a lot, particularly over rough surfaces (within reason) you should specify this castor.

Side view of front castor with lock. Note how big the lock is, the rubber tyre and the metal construction.

The rear castors are identical, but without a lock.

Upside down attached to base of an easel. This is a front castor with lock.

The castors are screwed to the easel. I have never liked push in castors. With screws you never have trouble. Note the large ring where the castor attaches to the easel. This is actually a ball bearing for smooth rotation.

Please note that the standard castors I fit are good quality plastic. They are good quality and are normally trouble free. The only trouble has been when customers have been wheeling easels over rough ground such as coarse concrete with a broken surface, or for extraordinarily long distances over concrete. If you plan to do this, the metal castors will be fine, the plastic ones will wear out.
