A Frame Easels - Also Known As Lyre Easels - Also see photo page This easel is my export model A Frame. designed to fit into Australia Post approved packages.

A Frames are the workhorse easel, simple, strong and with minimal moving parts. They offer good support but always tilt back. All my A frames have a bolted high friction hinge that has no free play and gives great stability. Mounts are fully and infinitely adjustable with two turn to lock knobs using a strong vice grip. Standard Height is 1.9 metres or 6foot 4 inches. These easels are often used to display paintings, mirrors, Menu Boards etc, Very solid and attractive when oiled. Another of my paintings - painted in one hour of posing. These easels are AZBB1900, the wood is Black Butt.

All A frame easels come with an optional tray to replace the bottom mount.

I also painted the portrait.

AZHRL1800 - Lighter easels also available for display or art. This easel in raw hardwood oiled Hardwood also available in other woods. Frame is 42 X 19 mm

These lighter easels are still very stable and work well in art studios.

All knobs are recycled 30mm cubes of Victorian River Red Gum, with steel threaded inserts. All Bolts are 1/4 inch diameter,screws are high strength steel, brass or silver zinc plated finish.

Note how wide and deep the fully adjustable standard bottom mount is. The locking knobs are Recycled Victorian River Red Gum, a very strong split resistant wood.

The rear of the top mount. Note the bolt heads are screwed down so they will never loosen during the life of the easel. The top mount is beveled at the bottom to lock on boards and canvases and reverses if knob shadows are a problem.

Big tray, holds everything an artist needs, 700mm wide and 220mm deep.

AB Model A frames - This is another style of A frame that costs more to ship, but I keep them in stock for door sales.
